Ship-breaking melting scrap prices touched a four-year low in Gujarat’s Alang. Prices decreased by INR 200/t to INR 31,500/t d-o-d on 25 Jun’25. As per sources, limited demand for semi-finished and finished steel was observed, with prices decreasing by INR 200-300/t in the region. Moreover, average scrap trade movements prompted suppliers to reduce their offers.
