China: Iron ore spot prices continue to inch down d-o-d

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices declined further by $0.35/t d-o-d to $92.75/t CFR China on 18 Jun’25, as oversupply concerns resurfaced amid tepid buying interest. The physical iron ore market has weakened recently amid lower demand and the Chinese rainy season. As per reports, weak steel margins and declining port-stock prices signalled poor fundamentals, prompting traders to offload cargoes even at a loss.
