China: Coke, coal output rise in May’25

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China produced 42.38 mnt of coke in May’25, a 2.4% y-o-y increase. Total coke output in Jan-May reached 207.23 mnt, up 3.3% y-o-y. Raw coal production rose 4.2% y-o-y in May to 400 mnt, averaging 13.01 mnt daily. In Jan-May, raw coal output grew 6.0% to 1.99 bnt (billion tonnes).
