SAIL Extends Bid Submission Deadline for Coking Coal Supply Tender to 28July’16

SAIL has extended the deadline for submission of bids in respect to its tender for supplying Hard Coking Coal to 28July’16.

The tender was floated on 23Jun’16.

The extension in the deadline was done in view of unavailability of sufficient suppliers, as learnt.

The specifications for the material, according to SAIL, are: size(0-50 mm), total moisture(8% maximum), Ash(8% maximum).

The last date for submission of bids was originally set on 14July’16.

Of late, Coking coal imports into China and India have gained significant momentum.
