Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published a tenders for purchase of steam coal of quantity 160,000 MT (80,000 MT x 2). This requirement is for Samcheok Green Power Plants, South Korea.
The loading of the shipment is scheduled on Oct’16-Nov’16 and the price terms shall be in FOBT basis. The offer will be valid for the period of 3 business days from the date of tender closing. KOSPO can request the bidder to extend validity period of bid, if necessary.
Each shipment of the coal supplied by the bidder shall be entirely from single mine.
Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country, to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.
Specification
Total moisture (As received basis): 28% max.
Fixed carbon (Air dried basis): 60% max.
Ash (Air dried basis): 6% max.
Net calorific value (As received basis): 4,700 kcal/kg min.
Ash fusion temperature: 1,050°C

The bid document should arrive before 14:00 hrs on 2 Aug’16 (Korean Standard Time).
