Ferro Silicon prices remained unchanged, as prices have found support at these levels
SteelMint weekly assessment for ferro silicon (grade 70-75) is at INR 65,000/MT (Ex-Bhutan) and INR 63,000/MT (Ex-Guwahati).
Ferro Silicon prices are unchanged for many weeks now in a slow market as buyers and sellers reported of limited activity and a resistance from sellers to lower prices.
Domestic demand for Ferro Silicon also continues to be thin, and market participants highlighted that purchasing was low in the week gone by amid production slowdown in the steel industry during the rainy season.
SteelMint assessed that the current prices are neither too high nor too low, and seems acceptable to both buyers and sellers, amid little change expected in the demand and supply fundamentals.
