India: Over 220,000 t of iron ore booked in Karnataka auctions

Around 224,000 t of iron ore was sold in Karnataka auctions on 27 and 28 May’25.

• NMDC Donimalai: 16,000 t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 57%) and 32,000 fines (Fe 57%) booked at base prices of INR 4,345/t and INR 3,712/t, respectively.
• NMDC Kumaraswamy: 48,000 t lumps (Fe 62.25%) booked at 17% premium over INR 5,505/t; 128,000 t fines (Fe 58.13-59.04%) booked at base price of INR 3,699-3,899/t.

Prices include royalty, DMF and NMET.
