Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 28 May’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices stand at INR 33,000/t ($385/t) ex-yard. Semi-finished steel prices dropped by INR 400-500/t in the region due to limited trade activities. Moreover, average trading activity prompted scrap suppliers to adjust their offers downward.
