The Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) is a state-owned electric power utility providing electric power to Taiwan and off-shore islands of Republic of China, has invited an open tender for purchase of 825,000 MT of low ash and extra low sulphur sub-bituminous coal for Taipower thermal power plant from foreign coal mine owners, foreign coal producers, foreign and local agents and trading companies.
General conditions
1. Delivery period is from Sep’16 to Dec’16.
2. The material shall be shipped by 11 Panamax size vessels, each carrying 75,000 MT+/-10%.
3. Bidder may offer one or more shipments.
4. The bid bond is USD 75,000 or TWD 2,355,000 per shipment.
5. The bidder proposing coal mine with the origin of Indonesia is requested to provide in the technical and commercial proposal a copy of ET batubara issued by ministry of trade of the republic of Indonesia.

2. Total moisture (As received): 30% max

Taipower had invited a tender for purchase of 720,000 MT bituminous coal from Australia, Canada, Chinese Mainland, Republic of Colombia, South Africa, United States and Venezuela is still live. The last date of submitting the bid for this tender is 27 Jul’16 up to 17:00 hrs (Taipei time).
