Global crude steel production dips y-o-y in Apr’25: WSA

Global crude steel production inched down by 0.3% y-o-y to 155.7 mnt in Apr’25, as per the World Steel Association (WSA) and based on data from the 69 countries that report to it.

• China’s output was stable y-o-y at 86 mnt.
• India’s production rose 5.6% y-o-y to 12.9 mnt.
• Japan’s production declined 6.4% y-o-y to 6.6 mnt.
