India’s medium-carbon silico manganese prices (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) edged up by INR 500/t ($6/t) w-o-w to INR 83,500/t ($971/t) exw-Durgapur on 22 May’25. Indicative offers were at INR 83,600-84,500/t ($972-983/t), with a deal for around 120 t concluded at INR 83,000/t ($965/t). Supply constraints led to a seller’s market, and buyers had limited room to negotiate. As such, prices were pushed upward.
