Japan’s Sun Metalon raises $9.1 million for metal recycling expansion

Japan Metal Daily: Sun Metalon, a US-Japan metal recycling startup, raised $9.1 million in its second round of Series A funding via a third-party share allotment. Investors included Nippon Steel, JBIC, and Airbus Ventures. This marks Nippon Steel and JBIC’s first startup investment. Sun Metalon’s low-cost, low-emission tech recycles metal waste into high-purity resources. Funds raised, including loans, totalled $39.84 million, aiding expansion in Japan and the US.
