India: Domestic coal prices ease further amid ample supplies, muted demand

Domestic coal prices declined further this week amid continued weak demand and ample availability. The 4500 GCV grade was assessed at INR 4,350/t, while the 5000 GCV stood at INR 4,800/t, exw-Bilaspur, both down by INR 150/t w-o-w.

Market sentiment remained subdued as buyers had sufficient stocks and showed little interest in fresh procurement. Supply remained strong, supported by the ongoing auctions.
