Jai Raj Ispat on 15 Jul’16 announced to set-up a steel plant in Telangana. The company is going to invest INR 30 billion in this project. The proposed plant will come up at the Group’s 250-acre land in Dharur Mandal of Mahabubnagar district.
Presently, the company has sponge iron (Bellary, Karnataka), mild steel billets and rebar facilities in Hyderabad.
The company is planning to set up plant in two phases, having a production capacity of 1 MnT pa with an investment of INR 30 billion.
In a statement to government in media report, company’s Executive Director, Siddharth Jain mentioned that in he met Telangana’s Minister for Industries, K.T. Rama Rao and briefed him about the project. They have surveyed industrial atmosphere in all the states and eventually chose Telangana due to its proactive and prompt governance.
The minister assured the company of all cooperation from the government and directed Arvind Kumar, Secretary, industries to take requisite steps.
Jai Raj Steel representatives said that they will introduce top-notch, state-of-the-art technology in plant, which will drastically reduce pollution levels. The company will produce rebar out of the new facility.
