India’s import offers for South African iron ore lumps (Fe 64%) increased by $3.5/t w-o-w to $114.5/t CNF Kandla on 14 May’25. However, inquiries were lower amid competitive domestic and imported pellet prices, with some sources stating that imported lumps were not viable amid weaker steel margins. Meanwhile, China’s spot prices of seaborne iron ore (Fe 62%) fines rose $2/t w-o-w to $101.25/t CFR on 13 May.
