SMIORE auctioned 85,000 t of iron ore from its Sandur mines, Karnataka, on 9 May, of which 62,000 t were booked. Among lumps, 27,000 t (5-20 mm, Fe 54.3-56.2%) were booked at INR 3,790-4,570/t, 11,000 t (10-40 mm, Fe 55.2-55.3%) at INR 3,740-4,660/t, and 15,000 t (20-40 mm, Fe 55-55.4%) at INR 4,580-5,370/t. Additionally, 9,000 t of fines (Fe 53.5%) were booked at the base price of INR 2,850/t. Prices are inclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMET.
