China: Steel billet prices remain stable post-Labour Day holiday

Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, stood firm at RMB 2,940/t ($404/t), including 13% VAT, on 6 May’25 as against 30 Apr.
The market stability was attributed to firm raw material prices and a stable exchange rate following the Labour Day holiday.
SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) dipped by RMB 19/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,077/t ($423/t) on 6 May’25 against 30 Apr’25.
