Pakistan’s thermal coal imports rise around 65% m-o-m in Apr’25

In Apr’25, Pakistan’s thermal coal imports increased by 63.7% to 0.63 mnt from 0.39 mnt in Mar. Y-o-y, imports increased by 70% against 0.37 mnt in Apr’24. South Africa was the leading supplier with 0.31 mnt, up by 34% from 0.23 mnt in Mar, followed by Indonesia with 0.06 mnt. Additionally, the US supplied 0.12 mnt.
