India: SAIL-SSP books 4,200 t of ferro chrome at reverse auction

SAIL-Salem Steel Plant (SSP) concluded a reverse auction for 4,200 t of high-carbon (HC) ferro chrome (Cr: 57-63%, C: 5-8%, 10-70 mm) on 28 Apr’25. The entire material was booked at around INR 108,200/t FOR (excluding GST and GEM portal charges), sources informed. BigMint’s assesses HC ferro chrome (Cr: 60%, C: 8.5%, 10-150 mm) at INR 100,400/t exw-Jajpur.
