Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), also known as Vizag Steel is a navratna PSE under the ministry of steel has invited two separate tenders for appointment of conversion agent at Chennai and Nagpur respectively for converting the blooms of sizes 150×150 and 200×200 mm into structural.
In recent reports, the steelmaker is ramping up its production capacity at Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant. The steelmaker is planning to add a blast furnace (BF No.3) with production capacity of 2.5 MnT pa to produce hot metal.
Apparently, the steelmaker is interested to appoint new conversion agents for the upcoming new blast furnance at VSP through these tenders.
The contract period is of 2 years with a provision for extension by another 6 months with mutual consent with same terms and conditions and rates.
The validity of the tender is of 120 days from the date of the opening.
Eligibility criteria
1. Bidder should be re-rollers having own rolling mills
2. Bidder should have a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license for respective products for which they are submitting the tender
3. Bidder should be registered with central excise & sales tax authorities and service tax authorities
Tender schedule
Due date for sale of tender document is 15 Jul’16 up to 15:00 hrs IST for Nagpur’s tender and 23 Jul’16 up to 15:00 hrs IST for Chennai’s tender.
