Petcoke Imports in India Up by 3.8% in Jun’16

Petcoke imports in India were around 3.8% higher in Jun’16 as compared with the previous month.

It might sound paradoxical that how imports had come into the country when acute shortage prevailed in the key international regions. The fact is that the import consignments landed at the country’s ports during the month under consideration pertain to earlier bookings.

During Jun’16, 1.35 MnT of Petcoke was imported into the country, according to data compiled by SteelMint Research. In the previous month, the import quantity was slightly lower at 1.3 MnT.

Among the import regions, USA accounted for the largest share of imports, followed by Saudi Arabia.
