China: Steel billet prices fall by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d

  • Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, dropped by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,960/t ($406/t), including 13% VAT, on 29 Apr’25.
  • Prices fell, as trading slowed ahead of the Labour Day holidays, compounded by a continued dip in SHFE futures.
  • SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) declined by RMB 29/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,100/t ($425/t) on 29 Apr’25.
