SAIL Seeks Conversion Agent for Light & Medium Structurals in Ghaziabad

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products, has invited a tender for appointment of a conversion agent from bonafide, resourceful firm/company capable of converting 4,000 MT of semi finished steel material into light and medium structural per month.

Bidders who have conversion facility in Ghaziabad and adjoining districts like Meerut, Baghpat, Gautam Budh Nagar, Jyotiba Phule Nagar & Bulandhsahar will be eligible to apply in this tender.

The tender will be kept valid for 90 days from the date of techno-commercial opening.

Material and there sizes after conversion is required as:

1. Angle: 45 to 150 mm
2. Channel: 75 to 150 mm
3. Joist: 125 to 200 mm

Successful bidder will be appointed as the conversion agent (CA) initially for a period of 4 years, extendable by 1 years solely at the discretion of SAIL subject to satisfactory performance.

Eligibility criteria

1. Bidder should have a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) license for manufacture of light and medium steel structural materials.
2. Bidder needs to submit the current dated banker’s certificate, income tax returns with acknowledgment and audit financial statement.
3. The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder should be INR 1 crore and net worth should be positive.
4. Bidder whose contract has been terminated and who have blacklisted, shall not be considered eligible.
