India: Premiums edge higher in NMDC’s latest iron ore auction from Chhattisgarh

NMDC auctioned 108,600 t of iron ore from its Bacheli mines on 22 Apr’25.

• 25,800 t of DRCLO (10-40 mm, Fe 67%) and 14,000 t of lumps (10-20 mm, Fe 65.5%) were sold at 13% and 7% premiums, respectively.
• 68,800 t of fines (Fe 64%) received no bids. Prices were on FOR, ex-stockpile/mines basis, including royalty, DMF, and NMET.
• In the 12 Apr auction, DRCLO and sized lumps fetched premiums of 630/t and INR 660/t, respectively.
