Japan: Tokyo Steel reduces scrap purchase prices for Tahara and Nagoya plants

Tokyo Steel has announced its sixth scrap purchase price revision for Apr’25, effective 23 Apr, following the previous adjustment on 22 Apr. In this round, Tokyo Steel reduced scrap purchase prices by up to JPY 500/t ($ 4/t) at Tahara and Nagoya. In Apr, prices at these plants declined by up to JPY 4,000/t ($ 29/t).

• Tahara: JPY 42,000/t ($ 299/t)
• Nagoya: JPY 41,000/t ($ 292/t)
