Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, rose by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 2,970/t ($407/t), including 13% VAT, on 21 Apr’25 against 18 Apr’25.
The price uptick was supported by stable mill production levels, declining inventory, and rising raw material costs.
SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) climbed up by RMB 37/t ($5/t) to 3,113/t ($426/t) on 21 Apr’25 against 18 Apr’25.
