In OMC’s auction for 1.141 mnt of iron ore lumps (Fe 58-65%) on 19 Apr’25, 0.97 mnt (85%) was booked at INR 6,100-7,600/t with majority of lots sold at base prices. The miner had raised base prices by INR 350/t m-o-m for lumps amid tight availability of iron ore but buyers didn’t bids for acquiring entire material.
Mill scale priced rose in Raipur but remained unchanged in Kandla. Raipur prices upped by INR 100/t to INR 5,900/t exw, Around 12,300 t were traded at INR 6,000-6,500/t. Kandla prices were stable at INR 7,300/t DAP, 11,500-t deals were heard at INR 7,000-7,350/t.
