“Domestic demand for iron fines have increased in last few months”-Odisha Miners

Iron ore fines market in China have been hit hard and corrected over $25/t in last one month, but miners in Odisha report that things are changing very fast in iron ore industry.

“Demand is generating from domestic players like Essar, JSW, Jayswal Neco, Godawari Power and MSP.Most of these plants have either set up sintering plant or pellet plant.They require huge quantity of iron fines in near term.We feel dip in exports will be compensated by domestic demand in next few years. Also most of miners in Odisha might come up with their own plant.” said Mr Patnaik, a miners owner based in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
