Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 100/t d-o-d on 9 Apr’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) stood at INR 34,800/t ($402/t) exy. The market witnessed moderate trading activity in semi-finished and finished steel during yesterday’s trading session. Additionally, an uptick in inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
