South Korea’s major steelmakers will cut scrap purchase prices by KRW 10/kg ($7) for all grades. Korea Iron and Steel, Korea Special Steel, Daehan Steel, and YK Steel will implement the cut from 11 Apr’25, while Taewoong will reduce prices from 9 Apr, excluding lightweight scrap. Hwanyang Steel will enforce stock limits from 8 Apr. Korea Iron and Steel will also control receipt and delivery timing.
