India: OMC’s chrome ore production drops by 6% in FY’25

Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) reported a 6% y-o-y decline in chrome ore production at 1.37 mnt in FY’25 against 1.46 mnt in FY’24. Chrome ore sales were recorded at 1.17 mnt in FY’25. The slight drop in production might be attributed to subdued demand for ferro chrome used in domestic stainless steel production.
