China: Iron ore spot prices under pressure amid subdued demand

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices edged down by $0.20/t to $103.9/t CFR China on 2 Apr’25 amid restricted purchases. Sea trading remained sluggish as some buyers booked portside material ahead of the Qingming holiday in China. Prices remained stable despite concerns over US tariffs and decreased buying interest.
