Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable for the third consecutive day on 27 Mar’25. According to BigMint’s assessment, HMS (80:20) prices were at INR 34,500/t ($402/t) ex-yard. The region experienced moderate trading activity for semi-finished and finished steel during yesterday’s session. Steady buying inquiries, combined with a shortage of material, resulted in scrap suppliers holding their prices steady for today.
