Wire rod offers in secondary wire rod markets like Raipur and Durgapur remained steady in a week’s time. Moreover, wire rod in Durgapur is cheaper than Raipur.
Indian secondary wire rod market mainly Raipur and Durgapur have not reported any major price movements during the last one week.
Also, demand seems to moderate especially in Raipur as manufacturers are quoting material at quite higher prices as compared to another big market, Durgapur.
In Durgapur, wire rod and HB are available at INR 24,000/MT and INR 25,700/MT (basic price) respectively; prices remain unaltered in a week’s time.
Meanwhile, plants in Raipur are offering the same grade material at respective price of INR 25,900/MT and INR 27,900/MT (basic price); offers remain unchanged W-o-W.
Offers for 12G GI wire and 12G barbed wires are assessed at INR 33,500/MT (+200) and INR 35,600/MT (+400) in Raipur. Prices are basic.
