Nippon Steel Stainless Steel (NSSC) cut prices of 300 series medium-thick plates and cold-rolled stainless steel by JPY 5,000/t ($2,958/t) in Mar’25, due to falling LME nickel tags. This marks the 4th consecutive reduction for the 300 series. Additionally, 400 series prices were reduced by JPY 5,000/t, the first cut in 5 months, driven by lower raw material costs, especially of chrome ore, and exchange rate fluctuations.
