China: Iron ore spot prices edge down by $1/t d-o-d amid weak trading activity

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices inched down by $0.90/t d-o-d to $101/t CFR China on 10 Mar’25 following weak demand and sluggish restocking at steel mills. Despite slight improvements in steel mill margins and pig iron output, peak-season demand remains muted. Market sentiment stays pessimistic, as steel prices continue to decline, with no official production cuts announced yet.
