Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased by INR 500/t d-o-d on 6 Mar’25, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) stood at INR 33,700/t ($387/t) exy. Active trade activities were observed for semi-finished and finished steel in the region during yesterday’s trading session. Additionally, inquiries for scrap improved, which prompted suppliers to lift their offers today.
