China: Iron ore spot prices inch up by $1/t amid improvement in market fundamentals

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices edged up by $0.90/t to $101.95/t CFR China on 4 Mar’25, driven by improved mill margins and expectations of supportive policies from China’s Two Sessions. According to sources, amid low raw material prices, mills are seeing better profitability, prompting some to opt for higher-grade materials.
