India’s medium-carbon silico manganese prices (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) decreased by INR 1,700/t ($19/t) w-o-w to INR 83,000/t ($956/t) exw-Durgapur on 27 Feb’25. Offers were at around INR 84,000-87,000/t ($963-998/t), with trades for around 1,420 t concluded at lower levels of INR 82,000-85,000/t ($940-975/t). Subdued demand for stainless steel amid ample supply of medium-carbon silico manganese weighed on prices.
