Nippon Steel Stainless Steel (NSSC) has reduced prices of nickel-based heavy and cold-rolled thin sheets by JPY 5,000/t ($32/t), effective for Feb’25 contracts, citing lower LME nickel prices and a weak yen. This marks the third consecutive price reduction for 300 series. The company is closely observing the oversupply issue and the impact of low-cost imports, particularly from China.
