Indian DRI, billet, rebar update – 13 Feb

India’s induction furnace (IF) steel prices increased d-o-d on 13 February 2025. Across markets, mills raised their offers by INR 100-700/tonne (t) compared to the previous trading session.

Sponge iron offers hiked by INR 150-300/t. The highest increase of INR 300/t was seen in the Hyderabad and Bellary market.

Billet tags surged by INR 100-500/t d-o-d. The major price rise of INR 500/t was seen in Chennai and Hyderabad market.

Rebar (Fe 500) offers increased in the range of INR 100-700/t d-o-d. Prices witnessed a major hike of INR 700/t in Hyderabad market except in Delhi region where price inch down by INR 200/t.

Today, moderate trade activities were seen amid increasing prices. Mills were supported in terms of buying activities since last trading session which resulted in price support especially in finished long. As per market participants, prices are likely to hover in this range.
