  • Mumbai sees highest rise in billet

India’s induction furnace (IF) steel prices increased d-o-d on 10 February 2025. Across markets, mills raised their offers by INR 50-900/tonne (t) compared to the previous trading session.

Sponge iron prices rose by INR 50-500/t d-o-d, with the highest jump in the Hyderabad and Bellary market.

Billet tags increased by INR 50-900/t d-o-d, with a surge of INR 900/t in Mumbai.

Rebar (Fe 500) offers climbed up by INR 200-700/t d-o-d, with the sharpest rise again in the Jalna cluster.

Today, the market witnessed some positive price movements across all segments. Inquiries improved since the previous trading session, which pushed mills to keep prices on the higher side. However, demand varied across regions.
