Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction has proposed extending the export ban on scrap metals for next six months for used pipes, rails, and railway components until July 2025. The previous ban, in place from 22 Aug’24, to Feb’25 which is extended, aims to secure raw materials for the metallurgical industry, supporting goals of enhancing secondary metal processing and promoting environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
