India’s medium-carbon silico manganese prices (Mn: 53%, Si: 20%, C: 0.5% max) dropped by INR 600/t ($7/t) w-o-w to INR 83,800/t ($968/t) exw-Durgapur on 30 Jan’25. Offers were at around INR 85,000/t ($982/t), with indicative prices at INR 83,500-84,250/t ($965-974/t). A trade for 200 t occurred at INR 83,500/t. The slowdown in demand from India’s steel sector contributed to the downward pressure on prices.
