In a recent update on anti-dumping duty case on HRC and CRC, DGAD (Director General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties) has extended the time limit for all the interested parties to file their response by 20 Jun’16.
Earlier the response was supposed to be submitted by 6th Jun’16 for HRC and by 7th Jun’16 fir CRC.
However, many interested parties requested DGAD to extend the time limit, citing reasons like large volume of data, a number of exporters involved, language issues etc owing to which DGAD agreed to extend the response submission time till 20 Jun’16. Nonetheless, the authority has mentioned that no further extension will be given beyond 20 Jun’16.
On 11 Apr’16, DGAD has accepted the petition of Indian steel majors for imposition of anti-dumping duty concerning imports of “Hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel in coils of a width upto 2100mm and thickness upto 25mm and Hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel not in coils (commonly known as sheets andste plates) of a width upto 4950mm and thickness upto 150mm”, originating in or exported from China PR, Japan, Russia, Korea RP, Brazil and Indonesia.
