Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan edged down by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,080/t ($425/t) on 24 Jan’25. Prices include 13% VAT.
Fluctuations in raw material costs, finished steel prices, and rebar futures, combined with subdued trading activity, put pressure on billet tags.
SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) inched up by RMB 25/t ($3/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,377/t ($466/t) on 24 Jan’25.
