South Africa: Merafe’s ferro chrome production inches down in Q4CY’24

Merafe, South Africa’s major ferro chrome producer, a joint venture between the Glencore and Merafe groups, reported ferro chrome production of 70,000 t in Q4CY’24. Production edged down by around 7% against 75,000 t in the CPLY. However, production in CY’24 stood at 301,000 t against 300,000 t in CY’23, inched up by 0.3%.
