China: Steel billet prices inch up by RMB 10/t ($1/t)

Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan edged up by RMB 10/t ($1/t) to RMB 3,090/t ($422/t) on 20 Jan’25 against 17 Jan. Prices include 13% VAT.
Supportive raw materials and finished steel prices and restocking activities ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays supported billet tags.
SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) fell by RMB 18/t ($2/t) to RMB 3,354/t ($459/t) on 20 Jan’25 against 17 Jan.
