India: Around 17,000-t iron ore booked at latest auction from NMDC Chhattisgarh

NMDC auctioned 223,000-t iron ore from Chhattisgarh on 17 Jan’25, in which 16,600 t were booked.

• Bacheli: 8,600-t DRCLO (10-40 mm, Fe 67%) booked at INR 7,130/t; 8,000-t Baila-sized lumps (10-20 mm, Fe 65.5%) sold at INR 6,615/t against base price INR 6,500/t; 107,500-t fines (Fe 64%) left unsold.
• Kirandul: 68,800-t ROM (10-150 mm, Fe 65.5%) left unsold.
• Prices were on FOR, ex-stockpile/mines basis, including royalty, DMF, and NMET.
