Re-bar manufacturers based in Raipur, Chattisgarh (Central India) raised offers up to Rs 400-500/t in last two days on low production and improved demand.
“Many rolling mills are under maintenance or running at low capacity. Manufacturers raise offers up to Rs 500/t on improved demand as monsoon is about to end and they think prices have almost bottomed out.” said a local trader based in Raipur.
On the other hand prices remain almost unchanged with demand kept subdued in South India on heavy rains and recent lift on mining ban by Supreme court.
